David Knopf, CPA is the owner and founder of Knopf Co LLC. David is a Maryland CPA, an Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor and tax professional. David has consulted with many clients spanning various industries on how to best use QuickBooks financial software. David also specializes in developing QuickBooks custom reports using business intelligence tools – such as Excel Power Pivot, Power Query and Power View. David is a tax professional and consults with clients to proactively implement tax planning strategies.

David earned his bachelor’s degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Memphis with a focus on Management Information Systems. He also earned his Master’s in Accounting from Baruch College of City University of New York. David started his career in 1998 working in private accounting – first as a bookkeeper and eventually controller – of a multi-store retail jewelry store in Memphis, TN. In 2003 David transitioned to public accounting and worked closely with a number of sole practitioners in New York. David also developed a successful QuickBooks consulting practice in New York after becoming a ProAdvisor in 2004. In 2006, David joined an established regional firm in Baltimore, MD before finally founding Knopf Co LLC in 2008.

Daniel Spetner, CPA, joined Knopf Co LLC in May 2014, bringing his extensive skill as a Maryland CPA and tax professional to the firm’s tax engagements. With a strong background in accounting and a passion for assisting clients, Daniel is dedicated to providing exceptional service and guidance. He is also recognized as a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, ensuring efficient and accurate financial management for clients.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions and commitment to the firm, Daniel became a partner at Knopf Co LLC in 2023. As a partner, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction and growth of the firm while continuing to provide expert tax services to clients.

Daniel completed his bachelor’s degree from Charter Oak State College and pursued further education to earn his Master’s degree in Accounting with honors from SUNY Old Westbury. Demonstrating his commitment and knowledge, Daniel successfully passed all four sections of the CPA exam on his initial attempt.

Suzy Miller, CPA, joined our firm in 2020 as an experienced CPA and tax professional.  Suzy is also a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. With many years of experience, Suzy has successfully served numerous small businesses and individual clients. She plays a vital role in our firm’s tax preparation and tax planning team.

Prior to joining Knopf Co LLC, Suzy gained valuable experience at several public accounting firms in Maryland and California. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Charna Knopf is a bookkeeping professional who joined Knopf Co LLC in 2014. Charna services the firm’s client accounting engagements and provides QuickBooks Online setup and training services.  Charna also plays a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations within the firm.

With over 20 years of experience in the accounting field, she has successfully served numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations throughout her career. Driven by her strong knowledge and work ethic, Charna consistently delivers accurate and reliable financial solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. Her attention to detail and proactive approach make her a valuable member of the Knopf Co LLC team.
